There’s nothing I love more in the spring than sipping a delicious Gin and Tonic. Because of its simplicity, it’s my preferred spring cocktail. Normally in the past, you could just go to a bar and order a Gin and Tonic as an easy solution to drinking. Now we fast forward to the present, where you have to think hard before you order a G & T. Why? Because of the increasing amount of delicious tonic varieties and the staggering number of new Gin brands with intriguing botanicals that are entering the market. The Revolution has arrived folks, catapulting this simple mix of two ingredients to scrumptious, lip smacking new heights.
A few of the fantastic flavors of tonics I have come across lately are chocolate, pink peppercorn, cardamom, hibiscus, elderflower and bitter grapefruit with rosemary. This is great for the creative bartender and cocktail enthusiast who enjoy different flavor combinations. The fact is that the different combinations of flavored tonics and gins create endless possibilities for the G & T lover. Some of my favorites include: The London Essence grapefruit and rosemary flavor, Small Hand foods Tonic Syrup, Q Indian Tonic Water, and Fentimans Mediterranean.
It’s a new day people! Viva la Revolution!
